Work on the seven thematic areas is undertaken at three levels.

• At the Multilateral level involving our engagement with the African Union, Intergovernmental Authority on Development, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the United Nations office for Africa.
• At Bilateral Level, the Mission is accredited to Ethiopia and Djibouti and also 21 countries accredited to Kenya from Addis Ababa.
• The Mission also undertake array of issues in promoting Public diplomacy.
