On 21st February, 2022 the leadership and some members of the “Wananchi (Citizen) Club” led by Mr. Marko Lesukat, the Vice Chairperson, paid a courtesy call on Amb. Jean Kamau. During the meeting the team highlighted the objectives, priorities and vision of the new leadership that would allow a for a revamped constitution, initiate greater networking opportunities as well as creating open channels of communication between the Diaspora and the Embassy officials. All these are geared ultimately to inspire enthusiasm of all Kenyans to identify and be part of various networks and grow opportunities through partnerships; have healthier, happier and successful living in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

A key component of the discussion revolved around the registration of Kenyans as part of the Wananchi Club in all regions of Ethiopia expounding on the current platform. This is aimed at the facilitation of information flow (to and from Kenyans) in all situations and locations in time for better management of their issues and for management of the support from the Embassy including safety and security related communications.

The Mission therefore urges for members of the Kenyan Diaspora to give feedback or make enquiry through the following link:
