On Wednesday 17th March 2021 H.E. Amb. Jean Kamau, Ambassador/Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kenya presented her letters of credence to H.E Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson of the African Union Commission.
During the ceremony Amb Jean stated it was a great honour to present credentials to H.E. Moussa Faki Chair of AUC and becoming Kenya’s 10th Permanent representative to this esteemed body. Amb. Jean further assured the Chair of Kenya’s support for his leadership and ongoing reforms to vitalize and improvise the services of the Commission.
Ambassador Jean finally expressed sincere appreciation and informed she is looking forward to a successful tour of duty that will elevate not only Kenya but the African Union, the relevant sub-regional organizations and African institutions to deliver on this agenda within the context of the four (4) broad key priority objectives of Regional Peace and Security, Countering Terrorism and Violent Extremism, Peace Support Operations and Peace-building and Climate and Security
