Huduma Namba Registration

NOTIFICATION FOR NATIONAL INTEGRATED IDENTITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, ‘HUDUMA NAMBA’ REGISTRATION EXERCISE

The Kenya Embassy in Addis Ababa wishes to inform the Kenyan Diaspora in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia that the National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS) also known as ‘Huduma Namba’ registration for the diaspora commenced on the 6th May 2019. The Mass registration exercise is expected to run for 45 days (6th May 2019 to 20th June 2019).

Huduma Namba initiative is anchored on Executive Order No.1of 2018 and Sec.9A of the Registration of Persons Act, 2018. The programme is envisioned to develop a National Integrated Biometric Population Database of information on persons’ Identity for all Kenya Citizens and Foreign Nationals residing in Kenya. The system is also aimed at assigning a Unique Personal Identification Number that will be critical in enhancing government planning and efficient service delivery. REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:

Step 1: The applicant/respondent is required to submit an online application Form through the portal https://diaspora.hudumanamba.go.ke

Step 2: Click on Register Now which takes you to the Portal Login

Step 3: Click on Create New Account which takes you to Create Account page

Step 4: Input your First Name and Email Address then click on Create Account

Step 5: An Email will be sent to your Email Account with a User Name and Password which you will need to Use to Register.

Step 6: Once you have completed and submitted your application, you will receive an email containing a Reference Number and a Document Number.

Step 7: Physically Present Yourself to the Registration Officer at the Kenya Embassy, Addis Ababa for Biometric Data Capture. Please bring with you the Reference Number, Document Number and Original Document used to register.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION:

In order to ensure smooth registration process, you will be required to have the following documents:

a) Mandatory Documents:

i. A valid Kenya passport or a Kenya National Identity Card (ID) for persons aged eighteen (18) years and above.
ii. A Certificate of birth for persons below 18 years.

b) Other documents that you may require during the registration include:

i. Driving Licence
ii. National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) Card
iii. National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Card
iv. Kenya Revenue Authority PIN

KINDLY NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

  • The Registration officer at the Embassy will need to capture your bio-metrics and photo image of your documents.

  • Children below the age of six (6) are exempted from bio-metrics and photos, however, you will still need to bring the child along with their reference, document number and their original registration documents (birth certificate or Passport)
