I wish to highlight some of the key events since I assumed office as the Ambassador. In March 10-12th 2014, the Mission facilitated the first state visit to Ethiopia by H.E Uhuru Kenyatta, the President and Commander in Chief of the Defense Forces of the Republic of Kenya. I subsequently presented my letters of credence to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and African Union on the 8th and 9th April 2014 respectively.

In April I participated in a two day joint retreat of the Permanent Representative Committee and the Commission in Hawassa in the Southern Nations and Nationalities and Peoples in the Southern part of Ethiopia whose main objective was working together towards continental integration and service delivery.
